Hi and welcome! My name is Stephanie and I’m a 24 year old Cleveland native.

I love my hometown, my family and friends, spicy food, fashion, Billie Holiday, bargain-hunting, Audrey Hepburn, The Office, old movies, reading, candles, listening to records,  Woody Allen films, writing, and documenting my life through photographs.  I am nostalgic and sensitive, and I have a terrible sense of direction.  I am lactose intolerant but I still eat cheese. All. The. Time. I mean how can I not? Cheesy pizza, goat cheese, nachos, grilled cheese, lasagna, gorgonzola, quesadillas, mascarpone, real hot chocolate, ravioli, buffalo cheese dip, omelettes, cheesecake, chili cheese fries, butter cream, fresh parmesan, feta, clam chowder, bagel and cream cheese, lattes,  quiche, fresh whipped cream, milkshakes…you get the picture.

In August 2012, my boyfriend, Mike and I moved back to Cleveland after living in Denver, Colorado for a couple of years.

We moved out there for an adventure, met some wonderful people, explored the mountains, and loved every minute of it but we both longed for the rust belt city we had left behind. So after 2 years in Denver, we took an amazing west coast road trip and then packed our bags and headed home. After all, like Dorothy said, there’s no place like it.

We now live in an awesome neighborhood called Tremont with our pup, Denver.  We are thrilled to be giving back to the community that raised us and love exploring all that Cleveland has to offer.

I’ve just recently graduated with my AMI Elementary Diploma from the Hershey Montessori Training Institute and will complete coursework for my Masters in Montessori Education at Loyola University at Maryland in the summer of 2014. This fall, I will begin working at a Montessori school on the west side of Cleveland as a Lower Elementary Co-Teacher/Assistant. I feel incredibly blessed and couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter.

My plan for this blog will unfold as time passes, just as everything does, but for now my purpose for this space is to have somewhere to escape to every once in a while to share photographs, funny stories, shopping finds, house projects, and anything else that I feel inspired to share. I want to have a lovely record from which I can reflect on the beauty in the the days gone by. Thanks for stopping by. Come back soon!
